Special Collections material is primarily paper-based, but other media are also included if they meet collecting or service objectives. Material in Special Collections is included in the library’s online catalog.
Special Collections includes several distinct collections:
Because of its value or condition, Special Collections material is, with rare exceptions, used only in the library under staff supervision. It is not available for inter-library loan. Materials may be loaned to other institutions for display by special arrangement with the Director of Library Services. Special Collections material is available on site to all researchers.
