Project Details

Since October of 2007, I have been employed by Intermediate Unit 1, a regional educational service agency, under the title of Webmaster.

Throughout my tenure at IU1 my responsibilities have been varied in nature: from ensuring content is kept up-to-date, to designing featured article designs for the main index page, and revising the markup used on the website to be more standards-compliant and accessible as possible.

The website uses mainly static webpages that utilize server side includes to keep navigation current. Some sections are dynamicly generated, however. Sections like the Contact Listings, Career Opportunities, and Job Description sections are powered by a rudimentary content management system developed in the FileMaker database system used by staff throughout the organization.
